DESCRIPTION
In this seven-week class, children will explore the world of comedic performance with one of the funniest actors - THEIR BODY! We will use theater games and improvisation to create a safe and supportive space for children to take physical creative risks as they share their imaginative silliness and creativity. The class culminates in a silly showcase of fun with the ensemble showing off scenes that feature the basic tenets of physical comedy and idiocy! A great balance of learning some theater basics and just being plain silly. Sure to boost your child's creativity and self-confidence. Ages 8 to 12. Maximum 12 kids. |
HEALTH AND SAFETY
All classes will follow Covid-19 safety procedures set forth by the CDC and state. If you have questions about Good Medicine's safety protocols before registering, please contact Program Director Kristie Vuocolo at [email protected] |
THE TEACHER- Kristie Koehler Vuocolo
Kristie is native to central Ohio, but spent 20 years in Chicago working professionally in Chicago theaters and across the country as a performer and teaching artist with an emphasis on comedy, improvisation and clown theater. She was a founding member of the highly acclaimed arts education company, Playmakers Laboratory Theater and was an ensemble member of the Neo-Futurists Theater for nearly a decade. Additionally, Kristie was part of the clown care unit for Chicago's Big Apple Circus. She also falls down a lot. So, there's that. |
