THE SHOW

In this original adaptation actors lead a small audience (12-16) through historic Uptown Westerville to share a very local version of this holiday classic, The Christmas Carol. The Guide, who plays themselves, Jacob Marley, the Ghost of Christmas Past and Present leads the audience through the story as the audience is SCROOGE. Small interactive performances take place in and around several businesses of Uptown to tell this holiday tale where actors play various Christmas Carol characters.

Rather than have an audience passively observe Scrooge’s journey, the story becomes their own. This show celebrates the art of the LIVE theatrical experience. We celebrate audience reaction and use it in the story. There is no 4th wall. The environment, the actors’ true stories story and audience members’ true stories combined with Dickens' powerful words, memorable characters and storytelling brilliance all work to fully immerse the audience into the story of The Christmas Carol in ways they most likely have never experienced.

This year, the show structure is driven by a cast of 4. (A couple casts of 4.) The Guide, a Tiny Tim and 2 other actors who travel along playing all the other characters. We are only casting child actors for Tiny Tim or finale elves.
.

We are looking for physical performers willing to PLAY and explore larger-than-life versions of Dickens' classic characters and general Christmas fun!

Actors 18+ are paid.

Auditions are Sat. Aug. 27 between 1-4 over zoom. Auditions involve singing part of your favorite holiday song acapella  and reading some sides that we'll give you before the auditions. Click here to fill out the audition form. Once you've done that, we'll be in touch with the time slot form.

Call backs and ELF auditions are IN PERSON Sunday Aug. 28 1-4pm.
