DESCRIPTION:
In this fun 5-week theater course, children will develop a theatrical character using vocal characteristics and techniques, movement and physicality. The program is a fantastic supplement to language arts as it highlights:
  • Communication skills
  • Public speaking skills
  • Story construction
  • Creative expression
  • Improvisation
  • Imaginative silliness!
All led by this firecracker of a teaching artist & performer...the legend (and diva)...Miss Kitty. The course culminates in a virtual showcase of fun with the ensemble of students nurtured in a safe, supportive and fun environment that encourages creativity, imagination and the freeing mindset of PLAY.

What can my child expect?
  • Weekly 60-minute live Zoom sessions that include fun engaging theatrical activities.
  • 30 minute to 1 hour weekly assignments that they'll do between each session.
What will my child need?
  • A big imagination! This is the most important thing of all. 
  • A computer with a video camera or an ipad with access to Zoom.
  • Crafting supplies:  paper, cardboard, tape and glue, paint or markers, as well as any materials the child wishes to use to create costuming. All made from FOUND items. No need to purchase anything special. 
  • Sign/fill out the online waiver form which includes language explaining our digital environment and our responsibilities.
